Invest and make money at web - discussion about autosurfers, HYIPs and other opportunities

Saturday, January 14, 2006

Here is another report on my investment status on the extremely volatile internet investment arena. Things are going according to plan and we had only minimum excitement the last days.
12DailyPro encountered several issues and switched from e-gold to stormpay. All my payments, e-gold or StormPay are now paid. However, until everything stabilizes I decided to reduce my exposure with 12DailyPro. I also put some money to AlienTrust.com... I spotted this site when it was first launced BUT my experience with them was a bad one - they apparently had some security problems and we lost an e-gold upgrade. However, they have now returned the money that was stolen and they have two basic ingredients that make what they offer very attractive a) a high return (140% in 14 days) and b) weekly payments. I have put $1K to them.
I have also increased my exposure to GoldenRocks to 1K and, now, I concentrate only with high percent vendors within PrivateOpps. By the way, my experience with PrivateOpps continues to be a possitive one. I really believe they will make it through the whole 2006.
eProfitSurg, Auto-Surf.biz and DadNDaves are going strong as well. I have increased my DadNDaves and eProfitSurf member level a bit. I increased my level with FXIG through FeederFund.com as well.
PaidResponse got the final hit and now is officially closed. They now try to compensate a bit of what members put but even at this moment they are doing it in a not professional manner. I issued a chargeback on them - I really don't believe they will return any decent amounts of money any time soon; this was my only alternative.
Finally, there are at least 3 private programs that got my attention. My strategy shifts a bit, and now, I will put any extra money to them, hopping they will stay around for more than the public programs. Due to their restrictions I cannot post any info about them in a public blog.
Regarding money, I circulate around 10K on 11 different systems at the moment; that gives me a good level of diversification and a good mix of potential earnings. Also, no matter which single system collapse I will still stay in profit.
That is for now, I wish you all the best on your online investing activitites :)

Security Tips

Lately, I read often terror stories about people getting their autosurfing or egold accounts hacked. If you don't think this can happen to you, please acknowledge that there are many specific tools today that target the less-careful user or the browsers exploits.

There are many measures you can take to remedy this situation; no matter what, always make sure you have an antivirus or/and spyware/keylogger detector and you do not use the same password on all sites.

However, my main method of protecting my system is based on a machine virtualization system called VMWare. This program creates a virtual machine inside your own machine where you can install any program you like and treat as another machine - no settings are common between the two machines. VMWare player is a special free version of VMWare, go get it at: http://www.vmware.com/products/player/

VMWare offers a prebuilt vitrual machine based on the UBUNTU linux system that creates a secure environment for web browsing based on FireFox. You can download it from: http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/vm/browserapp.html

Use this configuration to run all your surfing sites inside this new system and avoid exposing your main system to spywares.

Diversify, Yes.... but HOW?

Diversification is a needed tool if you want to avoid unpleasant suprises. If you put all your eggs in one basket then the risk is to high. However, diversification is a controversial topic as well because of a well known side-effect.... it reduces the potential maximum amount of money you can gain.

So, here is my simple advice. If you want to invest only a small amount of money then DO NOT diversify. Pick up the highest paying site with the best paying record and put all your eggs to that one. You may loose your small investment but it is the only way to get at a satisfactory level during this lifetime. As soon as you have enough money then start picking more sites and put money on them as well. Along the way, the more money you have invested the less risky you owe to be.

Summing up my investment status

Here is my investment status and my current feeling of each program I use.
First of all let me say that during the last two months that I am actively participating in HYIPs and AutoSurfers I already had some good and bad times. My current status is possitive, I gain more money than I lost. However, I decided for the time being to reinvest most of the money and diversify my portfolio - this is improving my pontential status on the risk of loosing a part of my investment.

12DailyPro - This is the best running program until now. My current investment is a totally $2700. If you remember from my older posts I started with $900 via StormPay and then I added $1080 via eGold. I've been paid a total of 5 times and I diversified most of the earnings to other programs - mostly FeederFund, PrivateOpps and GoldenRocks. I also increased the total amount of money I've got in 12DailyPro.

Auto-surf.biz - This runs very well also. I have been paid each and every week since I joined (7 payments) and have made back $490 of my initial $1000 investment. All auto-surf.biz money went either to other HYIPs programs or the sister site eprofitsurf.com

Eprofitsurf. com - Another very well run site for the moment. I have not been paid yet but I wait my first payment until 15 of December. I have $1000 in this one and have already (virtually) made $700 - 2% sum-up very well indeed. If this stays alife for a very-very long time then I intend to build a fortune of it .... lets see

DadnDaves - Trustworthy site. Have been paid twice. From my initial $1000 investment I have got back $400 already and reinvested $100.

PaidResponse - My worst investment until now ($1100). The site seems to be in big trouble and no payments have been made for a few months. I did a mistake when I put money in this one BEFORE reading all the negative posts floating around on the web. Still, I have not lost hope and I do believe I will be able to get some (at least!) of the initial money I invested in this one.

GoldenRocks - I could not resist all the possitive hype and I spend some money in this one. Actually, I put on it $405, mostly profits from 12DailyPro and auto-surf.biz. The returns are great (90% per month) and the site is being online for one year now - so, I found the risk hm, justified.

FeederFund - I made a test spend of $200 (FXIG program). Make sure you make the spent at the end of the month and not before because deposits are only valid after the 5th of each month and for the month ahead. The program seems very stable however the returns are at the range of 10-15% per month which is not a lot for my initial steps where I need to increase my money level as fast as possible.

PrivateOpps - I have read good and bad things about them but my own feeling is really possitive at the moment. The returns are good enough and their attitude looks very professional. I have put $900 in their system mostly from 12DailyPro earnings with, on average, 1.2% return per day.

Signs of sites to avoid!

Here is my list of 12 things you should check on an autosurfing site.
If more than 2 of the things below stands true then DO NOT use this program.

1)Less than 3 months old. Most poorly managed or scam sites die in less than three months. You may find alluring to get in early and get out early but most of the times this is the fastest way to loose money.
2)Unreleastic referral structure. If there are referral payments more than 2 levels deep then do not use it. This structure is only for attracting new members via excessing advertisments.
Ideally a program should not have ANY referral structure.
3)Unreleastic returns. Everything more than 2% real daily return is unrealistic. My only exception to this one is 12DailyPro at the moment.
4)Excessive communication. Its one thing to have a communicative webmaster and another to have 2-3 mails every day in our mailboxes. Even worst, to send advertisment of other sites.
5)Change of management. All sites that changed management collapsed.
6)Not known webmaster, no where-abouts and no third party certification. There is no site you can be 100% about but some sort of certification of the system is necessary. Be careful here that the new breed of scammers can have third party certifications (the rules about getting these certifications should become tigher for sure!)
7)Not consistent payment record. If you read for delayed payments DO NOT join. Not payments is lethal for a program since it diminishes its ability to attract new money.
8)Excessive rules changing. This makes your life harder. Some changes may be necessary to ensure the program against bad users. Use your own judge on this one.
9)Only eGold upgrades. eGold is not reversable. Ideally the program should use eGold, StormPay AND paypal.
10)Very odd "Get out rules". Make sure you can get back your initial investment the most after 90 days. The less the better.
11)New autosurf site launched. Running one autosurf site is a really time consuming task. It is impossible for the same person to run two autosurfing sites with some commitment to the members base.
12) Bad security practices. Look for a dedicated server, minimum down time, fast connection, good DDOS security history and Firewalls. Every dedicated webmaster should be able to deal with all the above

Now, a program that has one or even two of the above characteristics is not necessary a bad investment. However, you should really avoid a program with 3 or more of the things in the above list and ideally choose programs that do not have any of the above bad points.

Some thoughs on 12DailyPro & Extending Diversification

Another interesting week on the internet investing arena. This week we did not see any new collapses which is a relief after the miserable past one. Also, the end of the month arrived which is good news... some cash is due to arrive :)

12DailyPro keeps going very strong. A lot of people have been able to regain some of the losses after GCISurf and ClixSurf and 2WeeksSurf collapses due to this phenomenal autosurf. I have post a few thoughts on Jim Polak's forum on where the money may arrive. Here is my line of thought.

"I was thinking a bit on how Charis would see this system from a webmaster point of view. We always think how much we get and how much to upgrade but for her, the webmaster, 12DP is probably a system that gets something in (X), gets something out (Y) and has something inside (Z).

When X>Y then obvious there is no problem. The income from new members is always enough to sustain payments.
When Y>X then there is NOT necessary a problem if Z is well managed.
If she can make a good profit on Z (P=a function of profit on Z) so that always X+P(Z)>Y then there will NOT be a problem.

So, lets hypothesize, for the shake of simplicity, that she has the whole Z for 20 days and she wants to make a profit on it. That Z should be enormous by now, I believe something between 20 and 100 million dollars (there will be a few users at the 6000 level but a lot-lot-lot more at 50 or 100 level. I assume 100,000 members with 200 to 1000 for each on average). At a well sustained system Z should always grow since the total income is bigger than the outgoing stream.

Now, what can you do to make a good profit from several millions of dollars that you have at hand? Dan from auto-surf.biz described a scenario where
60% of the Funds deposited go into an e-currency exchange program that uses these funds to move money on the internet. In exchange, they pay them a portion of fees they collect for the transactions they make. Other systems do exist that can make a good profit on large amounts of money.

I do belive that in her mind the percentage 12Daily pays means little; the percent is a way to grow X from new users and minimize Y as more people reinvest to get even more.. this is called greed. The P(Z) should be big enough to fill the gap of the people that actually leave the system or have reached the maximum level."

On another topic, during this week I diversified my portfolio with 12DailyPro earnings. I spent $200 to GoldenRocks, $700 to PrivateOpps and $200 to FeederFund. These three look to me the best of all HYIPs (if any HYIP deserves this title). You can read on my previous post why I choose them. As always, I will keep you informed on how things progress with each one of them.

Regarding my other autosurfs, everything seems fine except PaidExposure which, once more, has not keep its promise to pay their members until November 30. They came up with all kind of excuses but the simple fact remains that nobody got paid. I don't want to be a pessimist but right now I rather believe that its end is approaching. And this is something I wish I had never have to say.

Investment Status & Programs I am thinking of Investing

Hello everyone. The last few days have been really interesting. A few programs seem to have fall apart. I was not to any of them except ClixSurf ofcourse. The list include ClixSurf, GciSurf and 2WeekSurf. The last two of them were NetIBA certified which makes me wonder about their methods of certifying sites. The GciSurf collapse was an awfull one since the guy decided to send a message braging that this was a Bulgarian scam from the beginning, and the whole site was set up ONLY to steal money. They used fake ids, untractable phone numbers and they worked from internet kiosks. This site was up and running for about 5-6 months and came highly suggested from many online sites including Jim Pollak. Be careful everyone and always make your own assesment about wether a site is trustworthy.

On the bride site, PaidResponse continues the merging process with PaidExposure. My account has been finally transferred. The site is a lot faster as well after they upgraded their server and available bandwidth. These are possitive steps. If they can fullfil the payments until November 30 as they promised then I will be a happy puppy.

12DailyPro goes strong. They deal with any problems that arise in a professional manner. They inform members at every circumstance and their members' base increases in an exponential way. I don't know if and when they will fall or where they get the money to pay the members but my "feeling" about them is very possitive at the moment.

I have the same good feeling for DadNDaves, eProfitSurf and Auto-surf.biz. The last two have changed their rules a bit and now they don't allow paypal and stormpay upgrades from non-US, not-validate users. Although a bit inconvinient it is a step towards protecting the members' investment.

If you are to invest in any autosurfs these 4 are my current favorites - they have paid me, they are run from trustworthy webmasters, they are online for at least half a year and the comments I read about them are possitive on all forums.

Apart from AutoSurfs I am closely watching several other opportunities at High Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs). The three programs that got my attention and I feel comfortable with them at the moment are: FeederFund, PrivateOpps and GoldenRocks. FeederFund and PrivateOpps are not HYIPs themselves but rather investment pools where you can invest small amounts of money to other, often private, programs that regularly would require thousands of $$$ as initial investments.

From the three I believe that the good 3 years record and the realistic returns of FeederFund makes it the lowest risk. On the other hand, PrivateOpps has the most professional site I have seen for any programs of this type. They also have a supportive forum where you can read and discuss more about the program. Finally, GoldenRocks is run by the Pola brothers for more than 10 months now. They offer returns on the range of 90% for every 30 days. They do not offer referral fees which, in my hamble opinion, is a *very good* sign for the longelivelity of their system.

I have already made a small deposit ($100) at PrivateOpps. I am thinking of doing the same for the other two the following days. I'll keep you informed on how things progress here. Most of these investments are from 12DailyPro profit which, for now, helps me increase the programs I work with.

Until next time, happy earnings and remember to diversify :)

Scams...

A few sites that I thought they have some good potential turn out to be scams. The worst of them was ClixSurf. This site showed good signs with an attractive approach and a nice script. They managed to stay alife... 7 days.

Initially, they reported a hardware error and took the site offline. But this was not the end of them. They, suprisingly, returned with a professional email stating the transition to a new server. They lasted one more day ...

The last I heard about them was regarding a hacker or insider that stole all eGold funds from their account. I do believe this was only an excuse, they have clearly made path for their exit together with some good profit. At least my final lose with them was only $40.

Who can you trust? As I stated on one of my first posts in this forum, this is not an easy place to be. Internet makes it easy for thiefs or scammers to target your money. Often you are given nothing but a word contract and a virtual account in a not safe server. So, it is extremely risky.

When the sites have a bad plan then it might be acceptable. After all, we can live with that and most of times make some profit as well. But when they get our money and dissapear in the middle of the night, then it is ugly.

How one can protect himself? This is a crucial question. First of all there are signs of a good site. A professional design is one of them. SSL or/and NETIBA certification another. Good membership growth a third one. Promptly payments for some time a fourth one. Actually, I will collect all of them and post a message regarding good site signs in another post soon. Still, no matter how many good signs, a site may collapse - some times unexpectedly.

The bottom line; always expect the worse and plan for the best.

12DailyPro - The Emperor

Yes, 12DailyPro paid me again at StormPay. A nice >$1300 payment. Reinvested. I hope they will be around until the year's end and beyond. They have not given me a reason to believe otherwise.

The bad news...

ClicSurf announced they had a server problem and closed the site for now. I hope they will come back but I would not bet on that. So, for now at least don't put money on them. Lost $50.

PaidResponse has not answered my ticket yet. From what I read in their forum I am not the only one who has the same problem. Hopefully things will turn good and there are some possitive signs. However, everything goes *SLOWLY* there and nobody has been paid any decent amount of money for 2 months now.

Paid Response Update

PaidResponse is on the process of merging with PaidExposure. Currently, there is a lot of movement and posting on the program's forum regarding the details of this transition.

I do hope things will get soon settled with the program. Merging the two communities was a necessity under the current situation, I just wish it was an automatic one. Currently, members have to issue a support ticket to get their account transfered to PaidExposure. It looks like a lot of work to me... I will keep you informed about my ticket, it was one of the first to be sent so I expect at least a rather quick reply.

New Programs and new Payments :)

12DailyPro paid me again for my e-gold deposit. So, I made back $1555 a whopping $480 profit for only viewing 12 ads for 12 days. Until now I have nothing but good words to say about them. Auto-Surf.biz payed me also, they pay me each week automatically.
I also gain some trust on where they get the money. Dan, the owner made a statement about it and I copy it here.

"Let me start by asking a question...
How do Banks, Savings and Loans, Insurance Companies, and other large institutions do it?
Do you take your money put it in the saving account just to have the interest returned while they keep your principal?
Do they tell you that you only have 50 days before
you can no longer earn interest on your money?
Darn, if the banks thought they could get away with that they would pay more interest, don't you think?
No banks use your money to make money by loaning it out at a higher rate of return.
And that is what we will do here.
While other pay to surf programs may rely on deposits to pay out members,
we do not.

60% of the Funds deposited with us go into an e-currency exchange program that uses
these funds to move money on the internet, e-currency exchange do you think
that may be a growing industry? The funds are backed by gold and never actually leave
our account we are just allowing the exchange company to use our funds as collateral
and in exchange they pay us a portion of fees they collect for the transactions they make.

Allow me to ask another question, have you ever exchanged funds on the internet?
If you have a Paypal account you have, if you have a Stormpay account you have,
If you use any of the on-line currency programs you have. Did any of them charge
you a fee to receive funds into your account? Well that is kind of what we are into
here, only we are dealing with the companies that these companies deal with daily
to get funds moved. (Ever hear of theFederal
Reserve Board here in the U.S.? It is
something along the same lines and almost as large in scale.)

While we are not a bank, more like a sewing circle investment club..LOL
We have plans in place to last.
To consistently payout while at the same time not risking a thing.

If you are wondering about the other 40% it will remain liquid for payouts and
possible short term investment that we deem to have little or no risk.

Also all of this was put in place prior to starting the traffic exchange and we have
our own funds backing the exchange; your funds will just added to ours; pooled together to increase returns.

I hope this starts to explain how we plan to pay without your deposited money expiring
I truly never heard of such a thing prior to the pay to surf traffic exchange. We just hope
To return the wealth back to the members and yes there is something in it for us as well.

1% a day may not be glamorous but is doable and sustainable, and we are not planning on building the largest building on the block, go to any major city in the world and see who owns the largest buildings, built with our money, hint it is the banks.

Dan Lund"

Finally, I have come across another very interesting site named ClixSurf. This site differs for all the rest regarding two things. First of all you can withdraw each and every day 10% of your membership level. I have checked it during last week and indeed withdraw is totally automatic. Second, the script they use is custom made and actually a hybrid between paid-to-click and autosurfers. You have to click a few advertisments to gain the 10% each day up to the maximum of %150 of your deposit. Regarding your initial membership level different kinds of advertisments will show up. You can see advertisments that cost maximum 2% of your account level. For example for a membership level of $100 you can see advertisments that cost $2 or less. A Brand new idea and a nice members forum as well. So, check it out :)

The bad news comes from PaidRespone. Currently the site is down. An email has been sent to members that the later the coming Monday the site will be up and running again. I hope this is true and they will fix their problems because members patient is starting to run out. I have invested $1100 in them and I don't want to see them falling together with my money. But I'm getting prepared for the worst to tell you the truth.

Where the money is coming from?

Banks usually pay you only around 2-3% per year and share market produces an average of 14% in a year. With autosurf programs you can make an incredible 265% in a year (remember that you loose your initial investment) or more using compounding.

So how can paid-to-surf programs pay you so much? The answer is not simple and certainly many times is not convincing. There can be a lot of income sources.

* Members Upgrades. A constant stream of new members and new upgrades is vital to any autosurf programs. Part of the money invested by new members goes to payouts for other members. No program can last long with only this one income source.
* Forex Trading. A few programs use the money on Forex (currency) trading. Bigger sums of money increase the probabilites of making money when exchanging currencies. Actually, there are a few techniques that require A LOT of money to work well when playing in Forex.
* HYIP programs. Some programs are also investing in other high yield investment opportunities, including HYIPs and other autosurf program. If a program is paying 1% daily, the owner can invest the money into another autosurf program paying even the same 1% and surf every day. With the right strategy, using compounding, he can produce much more than 265% in a year. The same program owner can also invest in a 3% daily program and that way he will easily generate enough money to pay the payouts, but in this case the risk is higher, of course.
* Advertising. All autosurf programs generate millions of hits and people interested in advertising for their sites may pay to buy some of those hits. Autosurf programs may also sell text links and banners displayed in members area or on the main page. Finally, the autosurf company can inject their own referral links for other surfing or HYIP sites and get commisions for new members there.
* Services to Members. Some autosurf programs also provide hosting services, professional design and promoting. Several big hosting companies even provide autosurf programs as an addition to their services for their clients wishing to advertise their sites.
* Transaction Fees. Few of the biggest autosurf programs have their own payment processors and online stores. Their members need to pay the fees when they deposit or withdraw their funds, there may also be fees on every transaction.
* Not surfing... Keep in mind that not all the members surf every day. So anytime the member doesn't surf the required amount of sites, more money stays in the program. And in fact almost no one manages to surf 265 days without a break. People are used to go on vacation for weeks and the "unsurfed" money stays in the program.

Who has paid me until now(update)

Finally DadNDaves paid me after 4 days. I had to send an email asking about the status of my payment. The answer was friendly, personal and informative - so I have nothing but good words to say about them. It seems there was some missunderstanding with my paypal name that caused a confussion. I trust this is the case, since other people had that issue before

So, I got $200 from DadnDaves. Until now I received money as scheduled from 12dailypro, DadNDaves and auto-surf.biz.

I am surfing for 1 month now and starting to get a deeper understang on how auto-surfing works. Each and every day I learn something new. My daily reading includes the new posts at the TalkGold Forum. Here is a quick link to them:
TalkGold New Posts. There is much garbage posts there but, if you read between the lines, you can find interesting trends that can protect you and your investment. I cannot stress enough the importance of getting ahead of things. If you believe that auto-surfing is the easiest money you ever gonna make think twice. Diversifying your portfolio and making sure that you are overally in profit needs some inside information and (certainly) dedication.

Who has paid me until now

Until now I received a payment from 12DailyPro for my initial $900. It took 7 days after my upgrade expires and I can tell you I was quite anxious about it. Should be $1296 to my account but thanks to StormPay fees it was much less :( I reinvested to 12dailypro $1080.
Also, Auto-Surf.biz has payed me directly to my paypal account 2 times already- every Saturday. Got $90 from them and really liked the auto payments if you do not compound.
I have requested money from DadNDaves for October earnings ($210) but have not received it yet. People post all over the net about how fast they get their payouts from this site but mine seems to be postponed - I guess it is because I used paypal to upgrade and they want to make sure I will not chargeback them. I just wish there was a better way to tell wether my payment is in process, because as it stands now I am not sure if they even received my request. I will keep you informed about that.
At eProfitSurf.com and StudioTraffic I compound - my earnings were not enough to request a payment. Finally, I put some money to 50cent2suft.com to test it. I will keep you informed about how this goes.

My investment portfolio

My initial investment with autosurfers is around $5000. I am totally prepered to loose this money without starving. You should also make sure you invest only the amount of money you are prepared to loose. I decided to divert that sum to 5-6 sites to keep the risk at a minimum and the same time do not have to surf all day. Here is the list of sites I invest with and why I choose them. Check on the right of this blog to find links to them.

12DailyPro
I checked all (humanly possible) autosurf forums and threads about this one and decided that was a reasonable invest candidate. It claims a 12% return of your initial investment for 12 days.
You can use egold and stormpay to upgrade your account from the free membership level. Upgrading is necessary to keep your account activated. Note that the actual return on investment is not 12% because you loose your initial upgrade amount (thats the case for almost all autosurfers). Also, the initial deposit takes a few days to reach your account – usually 5 to 7 days. So, your actual return per day is around 2,3% - not bad actually.

Currently, I have upgraded using StormPay ($900) and eGold ($1080). My initial upgrade was with StormPay until I could I find a way to fund my eGold account. My experience with StormPay is a positive one. They do look like knowing what they are doing and they have a lot of options. However, their fees really suck – 3% to fund your account with credit card and a whopping 6,9%+$.30 to receive money from another StormPay user. EGold charges much less but it is much harder to fund your account. Commonly, you have to fund it using a bank money transfer.

DadNDaves
I had seen DadNDaves autosurfint site a few times during my first days with autosurfers. My initial reaction was negative. Oh boy, it really looks like as an amateur work regarding design. However, I soon realize that at least at this stage of autosurfing industry, the appearance of the site has little to do with the owner intentions. I soon found from other post all over the web that DadNDaves is owned by an old and very reliable webmaster that also runs the http://autosurfinfo.com site. Check his site, he surely knows how to be directa nd he does not afraid to speak his mind.
I put $1000 to DadNDaves.

Auto-surf.biz & eProfitSurf.com
These two are run by Dan and Collete. They also do not look professional but came highly suggested by everyone. So, I started regularly to visit their forum. Soon got convinced that they are dedicated to their community and deserve a position in my portfolio. Auto-surf.biz offers a 1% return but upgrades never expire and eProfitSurf.com offer 2% with upgrades that last for 2 years.
I put $1000 to auto-surf.biz and $500 to eProfitSurf.com.

StudioTraffic
This is the oldest one, the autosurfing site that shaped the industry as it stands today. They offer 1% per day with upgrades that last for one year. You need to surf 100 sites per day which is the upper maximum I have come to. However, they do look professional and have big plans. They introduced several smaller sites that can take advantage of the vast community that has been build around the mother site.
I put $100 to StudioTraffic - I may upgrade there soon.

PaidResponse
This is the first one I put money to. Paid Response is operated by Aaron Bowering, founder of the Junkies Network and author of several marketing based eBooks. In a place full of anonymously owned autosurfing sites this one seemed to be a very good bet. The terms are similar to StudioTraffic - 1% for upgrades that last 1 year. Also, it allowed for paypal upgrades, a very flexible option for me during the first days with autosurfers when I didn't have an egold or stormpay account. However, my experience with PaidResponse is rather mixed due to a few ever lasting technical problems (including a very annoying maximum connections issue) and several reports about delaying payments. Aaaron promised that all payments will be processed until end of November, so I will keep you informed if he keeps his promises.
I have put $1000 to PaidResponse.

Pixel advertisments? A new crazy idea that works...

Before the post about my current investment status with autosurfers I felt like posting a bit about this new trend about pixel advertisment. If you don't know anything about it here is what wikipedia says about this concept and his originator:

'The Million Dollar Homepage is a website conceived by Alex Tew, a 21 year old from Wiltshire, England to help raise money for his university education. Launched on August 26th, 2005, the website has (as of October 24th) generated a gross income of USD $474,400 and has a Google PageRank of 7.
The index page of the site consists of a 1000 x 1000 pixel grid (one million pixels), which he sells image-based links on for US $1 per pixel. A person who buys one or more of these pixelblocks can design a tiny image which will be displayed on them, and also decide a URL which he or she wants them to link to. The aim of the site is to sell all of the pixels in the image, thus generating one million dollars of income for the creator.'

You can check the Million Dollar Homepage at: http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com

Well, I can not hide that I feel a bit depressed I have not come first with this idea - it is so simple that makes it briliant. It is so good that you erase it from your mind the same monent you conceive it because you (falsely) believe it will never work or that someone else would already have think about it. I guess that the moral of the story is to think possitive and always try ideas that need a minimum investment and have the potential of making a difference to your life.

I am certain that the next years a few more person will come up with such brilliant ideas and the determination to give them a try. This will change their lifes for ever. Why not become one of them?

Autosurfers - An Introduction

Autosurfers are one of the easiest way to accumulate money online. I will deal with them in great extend during the next weeks so make sure you visit this site for more info on them.
The idea of autosurfers has evolved through time. Their basic principle is to get paid for viewing other peoples’ sites. At its initial steps people were surfing for hours to gain extremely small amounts of money. I did try it once, it was 4 or 5 years ago, but I decided it was not for me. My main incentive back then was to gain traffic for my own site, by viewing sites of other people. That mutual exchange of traffic is on the core of autosurfers even today.
However, the whole concept has become a lot more alluring. Most current autosurfers offer people a daily percent of money, depending on their membership level, for every day they surf a predefined number of sites. For example, if you have a membership level of $1000 and your autosurfing site offers 1% for every day surfing then you can make $10 each day. You can use them even as a free user – usually they feed your account with $5-$10 just for joining- however, if you want to make some serious bucks you need to become a paid member and invest money to a membership. Although a few will treat them as gambling I rather prefer to treat them as an investment. A risky one, but still an investment.
Risky? Why, you would ask. Well, first of all, the return of investment you are promised is extremely high. For a 1% daily autosurder –which is the absolute minimum today- and an initial investment of $1000, you make back $3650 every year.
Note that you loose your membership fee which means that after one year you have actually gain $2650, a return of 265%. Still, no real world investment can match this offering. No one I am aware of at least. So, the question that rises naturally is where the money that we are promised comes from and if it is guaranteed… and there is no simple answer to that (I will make another post on the “where-money-comes-from” subject soon). Another risk factor is that most autosurfers are not legal entities and they offer no address and phone contacts – in other words they can vanish in thin air whenever they feel like. Still, most of them offer public (although heavily moderated) forums where members can meet and exchange opinions.
Even under these conditions there is much room to make money with autosurfers. If an autosurfer vanishes after 6 months you can still make back your initial investment in approximately 3 months (for sites that offer 1%) and then be on the safe side by trading only your earnings. Also, you can diversify your investment to several autosurfing sites and minimize the risk of loosing everything at once on the expense of extra work.
I have personally decided to invest some money on them and see how this works. There are a few sites that can help you make a wise decision and offer public forums that are not heavily moderated like the forums of the autosurfing programs. My favorite information site at the moment is http://www.autosurfcentral.com/. It is run by Jim Polak and is full of interesting readings. On my next post I will describe what sites I peaked for investing and why I choose them.

Goals!

The first thing we have to determine is our goals. My personal goal is financial freedom. What financial freedom means is rather open to discussion but for me it means this: "Do not relly on a daily job or anyone else to sustain a good standard of living". This does not mean having the car you dreamed about or having the exotic house at Greek islands you saw in an advertisment. It means to remove the daily anxiety of surviving... to have enough money to sustain a level of life-quality that a daily job could provide but without the job.

From that point on, many possibilites are open to make even more - a lot more to be precise. I imagine that most people never utilize their potential just because their every day survival burden does not allow then to get one step further. It is important to relieve this basic burden first and then concentrate on more ambitious goals.

To make things interesting, I will "device" an ambitious goal - I will try to duplicate the following years an initial sum of spare money strictly by online investing. I will keep you informed about where I invest and how my investments are doing. While investing, keep in mind that there are no certain path one can follow or certain (if at all) returns to expect. The nature of internet make it much more difficult to trust anyone and ofcourse, it gives spare room for villains to target your money. However, as long as one diversify and play smart, there is much room to grow money faster than traditional real-world investments.

For the sake of stimulating this discussion, imagine the scenario of investing $10000 at either:
a) an account at your local bank (they offer around 2-3% annual return)
b) certificate of deposit (CDs) at bank as well (they offer around 3-4% annual return)
c) mutual funds (depending on the type of mutual fund you can expect 8-10% annually)
d) stocks (since 1920's stocks return an average 13% annualy. Ofcourse there are much better and much worse years)
e) online schemes that offer between 80-100% ROI (ROI=Return of Investment)

Ofcourse the bigger the return the more the risk, but just for a moment, lets exclude the risk factor from our calculation. What would be the total nested-egg we would have aggregate after just 7 years of reinvesting the accumulated money with any of the above forms of investments? Here is the maths:

a) Bank account(3%) = $12300
b) CDs(4%) = $13159
c) Mutual Fund(%10) = $17138
d) Stocks(13%) = $24562
e) Online Schemes(80%) = $612220

Well, the figures talk by themselves. Many will tell you that the online scheme is not possible, or that the involved risk is too great. I will tell you that if you have some spare money that you afford to loose, then the goal deserves the risk. If you like to be in the safe side thats fine. Otherwise, get prepared for the journey ...
